Hiking
There are many beautiful hikes in the area around the Kronfjell cabin. Some trails start right behind the house (such as the Langfjell hike). Further away, you’ll find stunning hikes featuring waterfalls and climbing sections. There are also plenty of lovely routes suitable for less experienced hikers or families with small children (e.g., Røyrodden, Paradisbukta or Lindefjell). For a fantastic day trip, the Lårdalstigen trail is highly recommended — you’ll be brought back by an old canal boat. The Venelifjell area also offers spectacular hiking opportunities

Watersports Nisser
Right in front of the house lies the beautiful Lake Nisser, where you can swim in the clean and clear water. You can also explore the lake on a paddleboard (SUP). A refreshing dip after a sauna session—even outside the summer months—is highly recommended.

Jettegrytene

Hamaren Activity Park
The Hamaren Activity Park is definitely worth a visit, if only for the beautiful route along Lake Fyresdal leading to it. The trail of 3 kilometer is located right at the lake Fyresvatn and is surrounded by beautiful pine forest and an exciting rock formation called Klokkarhamaren. The park features a small playground for children at the end of the trail and a lovely picnic area where it's possible to make a campfire. Firewood is provided. Click here for more information.
-
Fishing
Nissedal offers excellent fishing spots, even right on your doorstep. You will find whitefish, perch, char, and trout, and permits can be purchased from the Tourist Information Centre and local petrol stations.
