Discover the Norwegian Riviera and charming cities like Kragerø and Risør and combine it with a trip to one of the idyllic islands, like Skatøy. Only 85 kilometers of our cabin.
There are many beautiful hikes in the area around the Kronfjell cabin. Some trails start right behind the house (such as the Langfjell hike). Further away, you’ll find stunning hikes featuring waterfalls and climbing sections. There are also plenty of lovely routes suitable for less experienced hikers or families with small children (e.g., Røyrodden, Paradisbukta or Lindefjell). For a fantastic day trip, the Lårdalstigen trail is highly recommended — you’ll be brought back by an old canal boat. The Venelifjell area also offers spectacular hiking opportunities
The area (Nissedal) is one of the most beautiful mountain biking regions in Norway, with more than 100 kilometers of marked trails. There is even a dedicated and well-known niche hotel for mountain bikers, located right in the heart of the area."
Right in front of the house lies the beautiful Lake Nisser, where you can swim in the clean and clear water. You can also explore the lake on a paddleboard (SUP). A refreshing dip after a sauna session—even outside the summer months—is highly recommended.
Enjoy the so-called Jettegrytene, located just 30 minutes from our home. The Jettegrytene (also known as Giant's Kettles) are eroded potholes in the rocks, naturally shaped into beautiful slides and a fantastic swimming spot goes here.
